The Company:

Wave Labs Limited is a London based fintech start-up specialising in trading technology. Next year, we expect to have 20+ Ubuntu servers running on Microsoft's Azure cloud services. The servers will run our web-based trading software, serving financial institutions around the world. For more about the Company, please see:

What we are looking for:

A dedicated, hard-working and trustworthy person with Linux knowledge is needed to monitor and maintain this server park. Some testing and ad-hoc tasks is also to be expected. This is a London based role.

Things we don’t hang up about:

Age, years of experience, formal education, dress code, colour, gender, sexual orientation, etc.

Things we care about:

You should be a fast learning Linux enthusiast with a medium to strong knowledge of Linux CLI (Ubuntu/Debian based in particular) and preferably knowledge of some of the following technologies / software:

-Microsoft Azure
- MariaDB/MySQL
- Tomcat
- Apache web server
- Linux firewall/IPTABLES
- IT security in general


As long as you are a hard-working Linux enthusiast, in-depth knowledge of all of the above technologies is not critical. We will start you off with Microsoft Azure certification training. As a trainee, we will also offer you further structured training and set you on a path to become an IT Manager within 3-5 years.


You will be offered a competitive trainee salary and a high performer can gain salary increase of up to 10% each year for the first 5 years. We also offer a discretionary performance linked bonus. As a tech start-up, you will also be given shares in Wave Labs.
